As we begin our new year of genealogy classes at StLGS, we are striving to make things easier to attend in-person at our office by updating our online registration process and making it possible for those of you who are not members but live in St. Louis to attend in-person as well. Here are all the details you need to know about our revised registration procedure for in-person attendance. (Please note that Zoom registration for both livestreamed and recorded classes is still for StLGS members only and remains the same.)
Beginning with our January 2023 class, we invite both StLGS members and non-members to join us at our office in Maplewood to attend classes in-person. Classes are always free to StLGS members, but if you want to attend without membership, each two-hour class will be $30, payable at the door (cash, check, or credit card––Discovery, MasterCard, or Visa). Of course, if you are not a member of StLGS, we hope you will consider joining us for just $40 for an individual membership, and then you can not only attend our classes for free but take advantage of all the benefits of membership in our society. Learn more about joining on our website.
New Procedure for Registering for In-Person Classes
You can now register for attending in-person classes right from our website; no more phone calls or mailing in forms! Here’s all it takes to register!- Go to the Current Classes page.
- Decide on the class or classes you wish to attend. (Yes, you can pick multiple classes!) Current classes include "Preserving Family Documents and Photos" on January 28th; "Introduction to RootsMagic 8" on February 18th, and "Got DNA?" on March 4th.
- Click the RED registration button way down on the bottom of the page.
Complete the form and hit the purple “Submit” button.
Your registration will be mailed to our office and your membership will be verified. Non-members will be asked for payment at the door.
