As this very strange year begins to draw into its waning days, and with all the coming and going of Zoom meetings and digital recordings, this is a good time to remind everyone of the growing collection of recorded classes, meetings, and webinars that are now available on our website. Although our online classes are only for members, meetings that have been digitally recorded are open to everyone, and it’s still not too late to take advantage of the virtual Fall Speaker Series, "Often Overlooked St. Louis Resources," with livestreamed lectures scheduled for next weekend, October 17th and 18th. Here is what is currently available on our website and how to access everything that is there. Be aware that there are expiration dates on some of the recordings, so don’t miss your chance to watch!
Monthly Meetings: Free and Open to All
Everyone can watch the digital recordings of these meetings. Go to the StLGS website and click on the link for each specific meeting. Be sure to copy the password for each recording. Please note: September’s lecture could not be recorded, although you can still watch the general StLGS meeting portion.
Here are the four meetings currently online (with one more to be added in November):
- June: “Securing Your Legacy” by Bob Goode
- July: “Finding Family Treasures on the Resale Market” by Laura Mackinson
- August: “A Trifecta of Disparate Sources: County Histories, City Directories, and Sanborn Fire Maps” by Bob Goode
- October: “Ethnic St. Louis” by Elizabeth Terry
German Special Interest Group (SIG) Meetings: Free and Open to All
Everyone can also watch the digital recordings of these meetings. Go to the German SIG page on our website and click on the link for each specific meeting. Again, be sure you copy the password.

The Jewish SIG will meet virtually on Sunday, 13 December, and will be livestreamed only (no recording). More information and pre-registration information on the Jewish SIG page of our website.
