June 2026 Genealogy Meetings

Summer is in sight, and many of us are firming up our vacation plans. Luckily, all of our upcoming meetings will be recorded, so you can attend in person when you are able or watch them at your leisure if you have a scheduling conflict or two. We are planning some exciting fall events, but until those plans are finalaized and ready for us to announce them, we want to remind you about the deadlines for registering for our Salt Lake City Research Trip or watching the digital recordings of the Family History Conference. June StLGS Hybrid Monthly Meeting

"Researching Railroad and River Transportation in the Later 19th and 20th Centuries," presented by Nick Fry; 10:00 a.m. (Central) at the Clark Family Branch, St. Louis County Library, 1640 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63131; free, open to all. 

Did you have an ancestor who worked on a railroad or riverboat after the Civil War? Learn what resources are available to help you find people who worked on the railroads and the inland waterways from 1865 to the end of the 20th century. StLGS Jewish SIG Meeting: Zoom Only

"Origins and History of the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis," presented by Stephen Logsdon; 1:00 p.m. (Central). Free and open to all. Registration is necessary as you will need a Zoom link to attend. More information and directions for registering are on the Jewish SIG page on our website.

StLGS Hybrid German SIG Meeting

Saturday, 20 June 2026

"Emigration from the Prussian Province of Westphalia to the Midwest of the U.S. in the Nineteenth Century," presented by Holger Strugholdt; 1:00 p.m. (Central) at the StLGS office, 4 Sunnen Drive, Suite 140, Maplewood, MO 63143. Free and open to all. Registration is only necessary for those attending via Zoom. More information and directions for registering are on the German SIG page on our website.

Reminders:

  • Early registration for the Salt Lake City trip will end on 30 June. You can save money and help us to prepare by registering early. Information and a downloadable flyer are on our Salt Lake City trip page.

  • All of the digital recordings from the Family History Conference, "A Genealogical Journey Through Missouri History," featuring John Dougan, Christina Miller, Andrew Hahn, Ilene Murray, and Carol Whitton are available on our website. The recordings will remain online until the middle of July, and you can still register to watch them at your leisure. All the information you need is on our Family History Conference page.
