The redesigned St. Louis Genealogical Society website is easier to navigate, easier to search, and now, for the first time, it has been built to work well on phones and tablets as well as desktop computers. With nearly 2,000 pages of indexes, maps, digitized records, research resources, events, and other information, the new site makes it much easier to find and use the genealogical resources available at https://stlgs.org.
What's New?
As you can see, the home page is now much different and a whole lot easier to use. Front and center is a search screen so if you are seeking a particular piece of information on an ancestor, you can get right to your search. Note the three hints below that may help you to navigate this new screen.
- The scroll bar on the right
- The Advanced Search choice
- The word "Scroll" and the down arrow below it
Immediately below the search screen, but not pictured here, you'll find our upcoming events. Here is where you can get the details on each event and register, if needed. Keep scrolling, and you will find First Families, Ask Louie, our St. Louis City/County Biographies, the SIGs, and information about the society and our projects. This blog will have a new home on the website also.
Help Us, Please!
We know there are a few things that still need attention. If you find a broken link, a formatting problem, or a page that doesn't work well on your phone, please send the page URL along with a short note to webmaster@stlgs.org. Your assistance will help us make the new website even better. We have exciting additions planned, and we can't wait to bring them to you.
