As we mentioned to you a few weeks ago, we are in the process of reviewing many outdated blog posts in preparation for moving to our new website. Although many of the oldest posts were short and restricted to events occurring at specific times and places, some are still quite relevant, and we want to share some of those this week.

Missouri Death Certificates Update AND Volunteer Opportunities!

With all the snow, ice, and frigid temperatures during the past few weeks, it’s been the perfect opportunity to stay home and work on genealogy projects. One result of having genealogists with leisure time this month is the lightning speed with which volunteers have been able to index the newest Missouri death certificates eligible for posting online, and we have some great news to share with you about that project. You are Invited to Our Annual Open House!

Last March, St. Louis Genealogical Society revived our annual Open House after a hiatus of several years, and it was a great success. Moved from Sunday to Saturday afternoon so more people could attend, the Open House allowed our volunteers to meet old and new friends, show off our newly painted and re-carpeted office, and answer lots of questions from interested attendees. Now that spring is finally in the air, we are excited to welcome you once again to this year's Open House. Read on for all the details!
